Individual Therapy

Home / Treatment Process / Individual Therapy
On the first day of admission, clients are assigned an individual therapist who serves as their primary guide throughout the treatment process. Therapists work on-on-one with clients to identify specific issues, explore feelings, work through challenges, and set goals that will ultimately lead to healing. Clients meet with their therapists throughout the week, working toward understanding the meaning and extent of their eating disordered behavior, and learning and developing new coping skills and techniques.
Additionally, therapists help clients overcome any fears or inhibitions they may experience in a group setting. For this reason, therapists spend many hours each week with clients in both a group setting and individual therapy. Therapists are available to help provide support during challenging meals as well.
