Partial Hospitalization Program
The Toledo Center’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adults combines 35 hours per week (5 days a week, 7 hours a day) of partial hospitalization treatment with the option of independent living arrangements in dormitory-style rooms in or near the main facility. The PHP is the most appropriate level of care for the vast majority of women and men who suffer from serious eating disorders. It provides a higher level of structure and support than is possible during outpatient treatment, but is also an effective, safe, and economical alternative to inpatient treatment. Learn More
Adolescent Residential Program
Toledo Center’s Adolescent Residential Program (ARP) is available for children and adolescents up to 17 years old and offers 24-hour care, 7 days a week. The Adolescent Residential Treatment Program offers a high level of intensity, structure, safety, and monitoring that is necessary for many adolescents with eating disorders. Program participants live in colorful, well-appointed rooms with one, two, or three other roommates and are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Learn More
Intensive Outpatient Program for Binge Eating Disorder
The Toledo Center’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is 4 hours a day, 3-5 days-a-week, specifically designed for people with Binge Eating Disorder (BED). BED is characterized by eating abnormal amounts of food while feeling unable to stop and is sometimes referred to as “compulsive overeating.” Our IOP includes the opportunity for low cost or free independent living (depending on the space availability) so that people from outside of our local community have the opportunity to receive the specialized care that they need. Outpatient Treatment
Toledo Center offers outpatient individual and family therapy for individuals suffering from eating disorders. One of the advantages of outpatient treatment at Toledo Center is the availability, if needed, of the higher levels of care offered by the Partial Hospitalization and Adolescent Residential Programs. We also have highly skilled therapists who provide outpatient services for individuals who do not have eating disorders. Call the Intake Coordinator at 419-885-8800 to discuss the availability and appropriateness of outpatient therapy. Learn More
Childhood Eating Problems Program
Toledo Center offers outpatient programming for children with eating difficulties. Childhood can be full of different phases and eating changes. Although this is fairly common behavior, it can leave parents feeling troubled. Disturbances in feeding become problematic when it causes the child to become upset or worry and when he or she is not eating enough to sustain proper nutrition and facilitate proper growth. Living Arrangements for Adults
Toledo Center offers an innovative independent living option for adult participants in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). These adults share a nicely furnished college dormitory style rooms with one or two other adult roommates in or nearby the main treatment facility. This living arrangement provides structure, support and safety without the disadvantages of a restrictive hospital environment. It also allows participants to practice real-world activities such as shopping, meal planning, eating on weekends, and socializing with others. Learn More
