Individualized Treatment Plans
Since each eating disorder is unique, an individualized treatment plan is developed and customized for each client. Your treatment plan is tailored to meet your specific needs, based on the initial assessment, then applied within the framework of evidence-based treatment principles, and periodically revised as changes occur during treatment. The treatment team will work closely with you to set realistic treatment goals, and staff members are available to you and your family to explain to guide you through the treatment process. As part of your treatment experience, you will learn how to address symptoms and learn how to identify and resolve the emotional issues that have contributed to unhealthy coping behaviors.
Eating disorders are complex health problems that require a highly skilled interdisciplinary team to help you to optimally assess, treat, and manage. The compassionate staff members at Toledo Center for Eating Disorders include an experienced psychiatrist, family practice physicians, a registered nurse, psychologists, licensed independent social workers, registered dietitian, master’s level therapists, and residential staff. We work diligently with medical consultants including cardiologists, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, and internal medicine.
At Toledo Center, we are dedicated to helping adolescents in our program continue their education while in treatment. We provide tutoring and coordinate with schools, so clients can continue their academic growth while in eating disorder treatment.
