Our 2020 Treatment Outcomes and Key Findings
As a trusted provider, we treat eating disorders for adolescents and adults of all genders ages 12 and older. Toledo Center focuses not just on the presenting condition but on the underlying disorders that contribute to them through a comprehensive approach that addresses the whole person as the foundation of true client-centered care.
“Toledo Center has advanced significantly under Odyssey’s ownership while keeping patient care at the heart of everything they do. This was put to the test during 2020 and Toledo Center, along with the world, were stretched in ways we could have never imagined.
Through it all the need for clinically excellent, evidence-based care was never more apparent and Toledo Center didn’t let our clients or their families down. I’m proud of how they continued to outperform the nation with outcomes that enabled our clients to progress on their road towards lasting recovery.”

About Our Assessment Approach
In our 2020 Treatment Outcomes Measurement report, our client-centered care and whole-person approach to treatment used the BASIS-24 Evaluation, a leading behavioral assessment tool, to evaluate the results our clients experience post-treatment against similar treatment facilities across the nation. This measurement tool identifies a wide range of symptoms and problems that occur across the diagnostic spectrum using a 5-point Likert scale.
The 24 questions are scored using a weighted average algorithm that gives an overall score and scores for six subscales for the following domains of psychiatric and substance abuse symptoms and functioning: depression and functioning, relationships, self-harm, emotional lability, psychosis, and substance abuse. Across 2020, we had 114 active clients participate in programming at Toledo Center and 41 who completed the BASIS-24 assessment. The questionnaire was administered at admission, mid-treatment every 30 days, and again at discharge.
It is difficult to fully explain the tremendous impact that Toledo Center has had on my life. When I entered the clinic I was angry, afraid and hopeless. By the time I left the clinic I had hope, and felt truly supported, for the first time in a very long time. I am so grateful for the incredible and caring staff at the clinic and for my time there.
– Grateful Client
We are so appreciative of this place. We can honestly say that without them, we likely would have lost our child. She went from an unrecognizable shell of a person back to herself. We got our daughter back.
– Grateful Parents
